It’s is highly configurable in both gameplay and controls, and this actually adds some replay value as well. I’m also impressed with the large number of options available in the game.

I would love to see this game updated, or maybe even a new game in the series built for modern devices! Either way, it’s impressive that it still runs fine without bugs on iOS 14.

I do wish this game was still updated however, as playing it on an iPhone 12 Pro certainly emphasizes the fact that this game was designed for iOS 4 and much less powerful devices. They are simple, but I think that’s part of their magic. The environments, the sound design, the music, it all comes together to make a truly console-quality experience (at least when it came out.) Even though it’s old, Slender Rising (and Slender Rising 2) are both still scary and still fun to this day. I’ve had this game ever since it came out, and it’s amazing that it still manages to give me thrills every time I play it. If you experience any issues with sound etc. Use headphones when playing, ideally at night and alone! )
